Posted by Bradley, May 4, 2011

Casino de Marrakech After a hugely successful visit to the magical, mystical city of Marrakech in November, the DeepStack Open poker tour returns to Morocco for more exciting tournament action.

Starting May 9, Titan Poker will stage a satellite series leading to weekly €80 + €8 Super Satellites on Monday nights at 21:30 GMT+1. Winning players will receive a €1,350 prize package that includes the Main Event buy-in (€500+€50), 5 nights’ accommodation at the Kenzi Farah hotel, and extra money for flights and spending. And more importantly, these players will represent Titan Poker at the exciting DeepStack Open Marrakech tournament and vie for their share of the prizes.

Swedish player Henrik Granlund outlasted a starting field of 421 players in November 2010, mostly from Morocco and France, to win the first prize of €39,444 at the inaugural DeepStack Open Marrakech event. Second place went to Jason Herbert from the United Kingdom who won €24,652.

This year’s event will feature two starting days and is expected to attract more than 500 players. The tournament will be staged at the Casino de Marrakech starting June 23, 2011.

Titan Poker’s first Super Satellite will be staged on May 16, 2011, and the qualification series will run until June 13, 2011. Players can buy-in directly to the Super Satellite or win their seats at ongoing scheduled and sit ‘n’ go satellites with buy-ins starting as low as €0.11+0.01.
