More and more players are playing the nightly Double Challenge tournaments, competing not only for their share of the prize money but also for a chance to win the Double Challenge Progressive Jackpot, which a few days ago passed $5,000. At this moment, the jackpot stands at $5,179.50.
Three times in the last week the number of players participating in the tournaments set a new record, and this only serves to boost the jackpot even faster. Buy-ins to the Double Challenge tournaments, one staged at 21:35 GMT and the other staged at 21:40, are $1 + $1, with the first dollar going to the tournament prize pool and the second dollar being added to the progressive jackpot. A player who manages to win both Double Challenges on the same night wins not only the regular prize money but also the jackpot as well.
The Double Challenge jackpot was last won on September 17th, when "Burbon11" from Spain captured a $2,170 prize. The jackpot previously passed $5,000 in May when “Jcambi” from Argentina won the all-time record Double Challenge jackpot prize of $5,356. That record will most likely be broken before the next time a player succeeds in winning both of the nightly tournaments.
