Four Titans at the Final Table

Posted by Steven, August 23, 2011

$200,000 GuaranteedFour Titan Poker players took their seats at the final table of Sunday night’s $200,000 Guaranteed tournament.  “tl9o0” from the United Kingdom almost succeeded in taking down the tournament.

All the action of the final hand took place pre-flop. “tl9o0” had managed to battle back for his tournament life nearly to the same chipstack as his opponent, “SSD888’. The English player was holding A8 suited when “SSD888” went all-in. “SSD888” had a pair of fives. The flop delivered a third five, but also an eight, which gave “tl9o0” a faint ray of hope. But when the third eight appeared on the river, it only served to complete a full house for “SSD888”.

“SSD888” won first prize of $43,092 while “tl9o0” had to settle for the second place prize of $22,572.

Three other Titan Poker players also finished in the top ten of the tournament. “FinchyPinchy” from Spain finished in 6th place and won $8,208. “FoxSh” from Russia finished in 7th for a prize of $6,156. And “pocketquad” from the UK ended the tourney in 10th place for $2,052 prize.

A total of 1,026 players participated in the $200,000 Guaranteed tournament, beefing up the total prizepool of the freezeout to $205,200. The tournament ran for 12½ hours.
