Player “12Jimmy16” from Germany signed up at Titan Poker yesterday and went on to take down the $200,000 Guaranteed tournament on the very same day. His first place prize was worth $35,632.
“12Jimmy16” thanked Team Titan’s Marvin Rettenmaier for letting him know about the $200,000 Guaranteed after Marvin announced the event on Facebook. After his tournament win, “12Jimmy16” posted on Marvin’s Facebook page an image of the notification he received in the software, congratulating him on his win.
“12Jimmy16” registered his Titan Poker account yesterday just four hours before he paid the entry fee for the $200,000 Guaranteed. It should be noted that “12Jimmy16” did have a Titan Poker account for a few months back in 2007; however, his deposit yesterday was his first ever.
The $200,000 Guaranteed is the biggest event on Titan Poker’s weekly tournament schedule. Yesterday’s event attracted 1,048 players and lasted for just short of ten hours.
“12Jimmy16” took the tournament lead with 8 players remaining at the final table, but he moved significantly ahead when he knocked out “doublegarage” when his pocket aces bettered a pair of pocket sevens.
“12Jimmy16” had a 4-1 advantage in chips when he faced off against his final opponent, “FaCkj000000” and he was able to maintain it through 28 hands of heads-up play.
On the final hand, “12Jimmy16” raised pre-flop with Q J and “FaCkj000000” re-raised to go all-in with A 3 of hearts. The turn delivered a second jack and that gave “12Jimmy16” the tournament win.
The $35,632 first place prize was credited to the winner’s account, while for his second place finish, “FaCkj000000” received $26,200.
Two weeks ago, Australian player “WRHearst” hit a flush on the final hand of the $200,000 Guaranteed to take first place and a prize of $34,136.
