Sebastian WinklerA total of 1,740 players began play yesterday in Event #59, $1,000 No Limit Hold’em, of the World Series of Poker, and of them, only 261 remain. Today is the second starting day of the event and thirteen Titan Poker players will join the action, including four women.

Titan Poker’s players won their seats at the satellite series held over the last few months; they come to Las Vegas with both online and offline tournament experience and with hopes of finishing in the money.

The delegation is led by veteran Canadian player Lorna Lancaster, who has previously represented Titan Poker at ECPokerTour Barcelona and at the 2011 Irish Open. In Dublin, Lorna finished in 12th place for a prize of €19,400 and the distinction of being the final woman player surviving in the tournament.

Fellow Canadian David Millar competed this year in Event #56, $1,500 No Limit Hold’em, but he was eliminated on the first day of play. “I lost 2 big pots with my KK vs AJ pre-flop and a weak flush draw vs my top pair top kicker, unfortunately being 2-1 favorite in each pot wasn't enough and I was knocked out too early :(,” he said of his experience.

Titan Player Cashes in Ladies Event

Laurie Tournier from Brazil has already finished in the money at this year’s World Series of Poker. Laurie finished in 12th place in Event #51 - $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Ladies Championship, winning a prize of $9,620.

German player Steffen Carl represented Titan Poker earlier this year at iPOPS Live Barcelona, where he finished in 12th place for a €2,300 prize.

Lautaro Mayon from Argentina has played for Titan Poker this year at both the iPOPS Live Barcelona and the Irish Open. He already competed this week in Event #56 but was eliminated on the starting day.

Return Trip to the WSOP

German player Sebastian Winkler (pictured) represented Titan Poker in the 2010 World Series of Poker, playing a few events but unfortunately not finishing in the money in any of them.

Player Diego Zeiter cashed this year at the Aussie Millions, finishing in 56th place in the Main Event for a prize of $21,033.

Also playing for Titan Poker in Event #59 are Irish player Tim Cullinane, Stephanie Kaye from Canada, Polish player Pawel Brzeski, German player Markus Ross, Czech player Zdenek Boser, and Joana Dias from Portugal.

Good luck to the entire team!
