The New Titan Team

December 31, 2009

Titan Poker is celebrating the selection of the new Titan Poker Team. Each player received a 6 month long sponsorship with Titan Poker, which includes $25,000 to cover the buy-ins for land-based tournament play. The multinational delegation may have its differences on a cultural level but all of the players are socially inclined and they all display a mutual love for poker.

Jan Bjoersland from Norway has been playing poker for the past three years and prior to his joining the Titan Team, he had already represented Titan Poker in prestigious offline tournaments such as the GUKPT in London, the EPT Monte Carlo and the ECPokerTour in Salzburg. Another one of the team members, Andreas Schmidt from Germany, made a name for himself in Salzburg finishing second in the tournament with €30,000. In addition, Andreas is a Poker Strategy Black Member with more than a fair amount of live tournament play under his belt.

The French Titan Team member, Fabien Carliez, also gave it a bash in Salzburg and he made an appearance at the APT Macao. Both Fabien and Croatian Titan Team member Slobodan Savic have been playing for the past four years and the two of them have been very successful in their online poker careers. Massimiliano Tamburini from Italy has been playing for longer and has been equally successful online, and he honorably represented Titan Poker in the past at the Irish Open.

There are two final Titan’s who have made a name for themselves at the Main Event in Las Vegas. Jose Manuel Gomez Rebenaque, the veteran Spanish poker player, finished with $57,991 at the tables in the 2009 event. The English player, Adam York, traveled to Las Vegas in 2008 and 2009. In 2008 he finished 41st with $179,000.
