The man known as GabyAngel is making waves throughout the poker world having taken first place at the ECPT Barcelona Side Event, as well as the ECPT Side Event in Salzburg. A former boxer, Desgouttes only began playing online poker in November 2008, after an injury left him unable to box. Starting with cash games at half dollar blinds he worked his relatively small bankroll into a relatively big bankroll and generated himself a salary. At the ECPokerTour Barcelona, he busted out at the end of day one with AQ vs. AA. Frustrated by this result he decided to participate in the Side Event where he finished first out of 130 players.

How many years have you been playing poker?

I started 2 years ago after an injury. I couldn’t move and one of my friend qualified for the San Remo tournament and so I decided to try poker.

What was your favorite poker moment?

1st place in ECPokertour Barcelona side event because it was my 1st big tournament. I played against very good and well known players for my first time as I’m usually a cash table player. It gave me a really good feeling and the Titan staff support was amazing!

What did you study and what is your career path?

I am a Baccalaureat. I play football and compete in kick boxing.

Do you have advice to players who wish to join the Titan Team?

Analyze the way you play and then work hard to improve it as much as possible and then be patient, very patient….

What is your life philosophy?

Live one day after another.
